This artwork was created using real coral sand and fragments originating from a coral reef environment.
The motif is a shrimp, chosen as a symbol of leaping forward, growth, and the courage to move beyond one’s current position.
The work expresses the desire to pursue dreams and hopes, and to reach toward things that cannot yet be seen. The future is often invisible, uncertain, and unknown. Yet progress begins when we move toward it.
The coral sand used in this artwork carries a deeper meaning. Coral reefs are living structures that grow slowly over decades through the accumulation of countless small lives. By creating this work from actual coral reef material, I wished to connect the wisdom, time, and life embedded within the reef to the creation of a new future.
This artwork is a symbol of aspiration, discovery, and the leap toward unseen possibilities.

飛躍する海老

本作品は、実際の珊瑚礁の砂や破片を用いて制作した作品です。
モチーフである海老には、「飛躍すること」「成長すること」「今いる場所を超えて前へ進むこと」という意味を込めています。
この作品は、自分自身の夢や希望の実現に向かい、まだ見えていないものをつかみに行く姿を表現しています。未来は見えないものであり、不確かなものです。しかし、その未来へ向かって踏み出すことで、新たな可能性は開かれていきます。
また、本作品に使用した珊瑚礁の砂には特別な意味があります。珊瑚礁は数十年という長い時間をかけ、多くの生命の営みによって形成されます。その実際の珊瑚礁の素材を用いることで、長い年月の中で育まれた生命の力や時間の積み重ねが、新しい未来を創り出していくという想いを込めました。
本作品は、希望、発見、そして見えない可能性へ向かう飛躍を象徴する作品です。
