The Beginning (Core Philosophy)
22degrees Universe is a philosophy project dedicated to exploring the value of human experience.
From an early age, I was immersed in music, nature, ikebana, sports, small agriculture and the tea ceremony. Later, I spent more than three decades engaged in residential development and the study of how people live.
Throughout these experiences, one question remained constant:
What allows human beings to experience richness, meaning, and fulfillment in their lives?
My work in residential development revealed that human well-being is not created solely by buildings or technology. It emerges through the interaction of time, space, light, materials, nature, temperature, sound, and human relationships.
Human beings live within time.
Human beings live within space.
And human beings experience life at the intersection of time and space.
Yet even when people share the same moment, they do not experience the same reality.
Two individuals may watch the same sunset, listen to the same music, or stand within the same landscape, but the emotions, memories, and meanings they receive are never identical.
For one person, a sunset may evoke nostalgia.
For another, it may inspire hope.
For someone else, it may recall a turning point in life.
Time can be shared.
Experience cannot.
This uniqueness of human experience is one of the essential characteristics of being human.
22degrees Universe focuses on this individuality of experience.
The quietness of morning.
The energy of daytime.
The reflection of sunset.
The calmness of night.
Each period of the day carries its own value, yet that value is perceived differently by every individual.
Rather than seeking uniformity, I regard this diversity of perception as one of humanity’s greatest forms of richness.
In recent years, rapid advances in artificial intelligence have begun transforming the ways people create, learn, and communicate.
Through my encounter with AI-generated music, I discovered that AI is not merely a tool for automation. It can also become a medium through which human experience is expressed, expanded, and shared.
AI can expand knowledge.
AI can support creativity.
AI can generate content.
But the experience of beauty, memory, wonder, gratitude, and meaning remains fundamentally human.
What moves us.
What we remember.
What we consider valuable.
What we experience as beautiful.
These are questions that belong to human life itself.
22degrees Universe seeks to explore and preserve these human experiences by integrating music, space, nature, materials, culture, philosophy, and artificial intelligence.
It is not simply a music project.
It is not simply a design project.
It is a long-term exploration of human experience within time and space.
Its purpose is to understand how people experience the world, why those experiences matter, and how their value can be carried forward into the future.

22degrees Universe は、人間の体験価値を探究するためのDiscover journeyプロジェクトである。
幼少期から音楽、自然、いけばな、スポーツ、小さな農業、茶道に親しみ、その後30年以上にわたり住宅づくりに携わってきた。
その過程で一貫して関心を持ち続けてきたのは、人間がどのような環境の中で豊かさを感じ、どのような時間を価値あるものとして記憶するのかという問いである。
住宅づくりを通じて学んだのは、人間の暮らしは単なる建築や設備によって成立するものではなく、時間、空間、光、素材、自然、温度、音、そして人との関係性によって形づくられているという事実である。
人は時間の中で生きている。
人は空間の中で生きている。
そして人は、その時間と空間が交わる場所で体験を生きている。
近年、AI技術の急速な発展により、多くの知的作業や創作活動が支援・拡張される時代が到来した。
音楽生成AIとの出会いを通じて、AIが人間の創造性を代替する存在ではなく、人間の体験価値をより豊かに表現し拡張するための存在になり得ることを実感した。
22degrees Universe は、このAI時代において、人間固有の価値とは何かを探究する試みでもある。
夕暮れの美しさ。
静かな音楽に包まれる時間。
自然の中で感じる風。
大切な人との記憶。
人生の節目に訪れる気づき。
それらは数値化しきれないが、人間にとって極めて重要な価値である。
22degrees Universe は、音楽、空間、自然、素材、文化、思想、そしてAIを統合しながら、人間の体験価値を研究し、その価値を未来へ継承することを目的としている。
これは単なる音楽プロジェクトでも、デザインプロジェクトでもない。
時間と空間の中で生まれる人間の体験を探究し、その意味を未来へ伝えるための長期的な研究活動である。
